Okay, it’s looking like very familiar territory for Sofia Coppola. There was something pretty Julius Shulman about the text over the city lights at the end though which I really liked. Incredibly La La Land, not that that’s inherently a criticism. Coppola knows the world of Chateau Marmont and actors well enough, being part of L.A.’s hipster set. I seem to be one of a relatively small number that actually likes Lost in Translation, probably something to do with me being a massive Bill Murray fan. Dakota Fanning’s younger sister Elle Fanning looks like she’s inherited the acting gene, with the brief moments from the trailer indicating that she’s as good as her talented sister.
